Welcome from the Dean

The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania

On behalf of the Wharton School and the University of Pennsylvania, I am pleased to invite you to join the School in Beijing to learn from renowned thought leaders and to explore new ideas and business trends during the 46th Wharton Global Forum.  On June 12-14, 2014, Wharton faculty, alumni and business leaders from around the world will gather in Beijing to discuss the challenges and solutions surrounding the theme “Growth Through Innovation.”

China has been experiencing rapid economic growth since initiating market reforms in 1978. As the world’s second largest economy, the country is playing an increasingly important and influential role in the global economy.

Drawing upon the expertise of internationally recognized scholars and business leaders, the Wharton Global Forum Beijing will feature master classes, panel and roundtable discussions, and keynote speeches exploring the ways in which innovations across industries and contexts can impact economic growth. The Forum’s Organizing Committee also is shaping content that will examine, in part, how innovative practices within organizations promote corporate growth and may play a role in the development of a sustainable global economy.

Wharton’s Global Forums are held each year to facilitate discussion on topics of interest to business leaders, to engage alumni through Lifelong Learning and meaningful networking, and to build the Wharton brand worldwide. Indeed, the Forums represent Wharton’s unwavering commitment to global presence and international relationship building.

With best wishes,

Thomas S. Robertson
