Fredy Cheung is Corporate Vice President of Cisco Systems, responsible for the overall Foundational business that includes the Enterprise, Commercial as well as Telecom industries in the Greater China region. Working closely with his business partners, Cheung is dedicated in implementing strategy as well as delivering business and technology solutions that address local market requirements to achieve desirable business outcome for Cisco’s customers. As an industry veteran, Cheung has rich experience and unique insight on the diversified new economic models in the China ICT market.
 
Active in laying the foundation for e-government on an international scale , Cheung was the driving force behind a series of international Asia-Pacific Public Services Summit (held in Beijing from 2004 - 2012), a major initiative between Cisco, the Chinese government (MIIT), and the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), in bringing together representatives and government officials from over 20 countries across the world to share best practices and build network that can foster cross border government collaborations.
 
Cheung first joined Cisco Asia Pacific as Director of Channels in Singapore in 1999. While based in the Singapore office, Cheung has held a number of leadership roles overseeing the Asia Pacific Commercial Business and Core Technology functions. In May 2002, Cheung moved to Beijing with his family and served as Director for the Enterprise operation, responsible for the Government and Enterprise business in China.
 
Cheung started his career as an Account Manager for NCR Hong Kong. Prior to joining Cisco, he worked for 3Com Asia for seven years, serving in various channels, sales and marketing leadership roles.
 
A native of Hong Kong, Cheung holds an Electrical and Electronic Engineering degree from the University of Nottingham in England.
